Refurbishment and modernisation

Hannelore Kasten-Mann, Werner Kasten and Dirk Christopher Kasten started the comprehensive renovation and modernisation of the premises in 1990 and completed the step-by-step project in the year 2013.

The inner city of Berlin thereby saw a reflection of the lively and continual transformation of modern Berlin's economic and cultural life in its very centre.

The heart of the premises, the so-called “Schwankhaus”, which to this day is used by many industries, will be expanded by new buildings in the future.
